Narcissism has become an epidemic and can be a scary thing to deal with. It’s a topic that we all need to understand better because it can truly cause suffering and destroy lives. If you don’t comprehend what it is, you might not know when it’s present in your life or realize how debilitating it can be.
If you have narcissistic parents or have been in a relationship with a narcissist, you have likely experienced some form of trauma. You might also experience more trauma from those who fail to understand or deny the reality of what you’re going through. Most people do NOT understand. Such experiences set you up for self-defeating beliefs and patterns that can affect many aspects of your life. They put a strain on your mind, heart, and soul. In your relationship with your narcissist — whether it’s a relative, partner, boss, friend, or child — you might feel blamed, inadequate, worthless, insecure, invalidated, or less than. Narcissists can make you feel like you’re crazy, making things up or making them difficult, and most likely leaving you dreading the next outburst. You may have felt that your reality and how you perceive things are questioned-which is called “gaslighting”. This experience can be very disempowering.

When did you first encounter a narcissist?
Narcissism has become an epidemic. Narcissism is dangerous. This is a topic that we need to understand better. Narcissism destroys lives, people are suffering. If you don’t really understand what it is, you don’t understand when you’re in it and how it’s debilitating your life.
